HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) - According to the Tangipahoa's Parish Sheriff's Office (TPSO), two male suspects, identified as Christian Boudreaux, 21, and Shaquille Thomas, 22, have been arrested in reference to numerous criminal activities, including burglary, sale of narcotics, and a recent shooting in the parking lot of Walmart in Hammond.
Information provided from an anonymous source indicates that Boudreaux and Thomas were staying at a residence on W David Dr. in Hammond, where a stolen handgun was allegedly located.
Both Boudreaux and Thomas had outstanding warrants by the Hammond Police Department for three counts of attempted first degree murder. Detectives with TPSO had also previously identified Boudreaux as the primary suspect in a residential burglary on Woodstone Dr. in July.
On July 28, deputies located Boudreaux traveling in a blue Suburban on Wardline Rd., where his vehicle was brought to a stop and he was taken into custody. Officials then executed a search warrant at the residence on W David Dr., where they located a stolen 9mm handgun suspected to be the weapon used in the Walmart parking lot shooting.
Officials also discovered approximately 24 doses of MDMA Ecstasy and ammunition for a 223/556 rifle.
Boudreaux was then charged with possession of CDS, possession of a firearm while in possession of CDS II, possession of stolen property, and being a fugitive of another jurisdiction.
Later on July 28, Thomas turned himself in to authorities and was also charged with three counts of attempted first degree murder.
Officials say additional arrests and charges are believed to be forthcoming.
