BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The head of Baton Rouge General Hospital is out after three years running the system.
The hospital announced Tuesday morning that Mark Slyter is leaving after serving as president and CEO.
No reason was given for his departure.
Slyter oversaw the shutdown of the Mid City emergency room last year. He also led a redevelopment plan for both the Florida Boulevard and Bluebonnet hospitals.
Chief Operating Officer Edgardo Tenreiro will take over until a replacement CEO is found.
