A man was arrested after a marijuana grow operation was found in his home Tuesday, according to investigators.

The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Kenny Lacy, 37, of Napoleonville, had several marijuana plants with different cultivating systems.

Deputies said there was a watering system, lighting system for heat and other features. They added the systems appeared to be operating on a timer.

In addition to the plants, investigators reported seizing a 12-gauge Mossberg shotgun, bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Authorities said after being taken to Thibodaux Regional Hospital for a medical condition, Lacy was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of cultivation of marijuana, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances.
