LSU running back Leonard Fournette has been named the Corbett Award winner for the 2015-2016 season.
The Corbett Award is presented annually to the most outstanding amateur male and female athletes in the State of Louisiana.
Fournette finished the 2015 season with 300 carries for 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Despite his on-field success, Fournette has developed into an inspiring off-the-field talent as well. Following disastrous flooding in South Carolina, Fournette auctioned his game-worn jersey from the Gamecock contest to raise money for flood victims - the final bid for the jersey was over $100,000.
The Tiger running back also won the award in 2013-2014 while attending St. Augustine High School in New Orleans.
Fournette and the Tigers will kickoff the 2016 season on Saturday, Sept. 3 against the Wisconsin Badgers in Green Bay, WI.
