OUR TURN: Donation Drive for Officers

OUR TURN: Donation Drive for Officers

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - We want to thank the families of Matthew Gerald, Brad Garafola and Montrell Jackson for sharing with everyone the funeral services of these beloved men. The memorials were beautiful and distinctive.

Unfortunately, they were also stark reminders of how much these families lost when their loved ones were gunned down on a Sunday morning here in Baton Rouge. We all lost something that morning in terms of our feelings of safety and security, but their loss is much, much greater.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with them. WAFB will also be carrying live the public memorial service for the three officers which will take place Thursday at 2 p.m. at Healing Place Church. We're still praying for Sheriff's Deputy Nicholas Tullier who remains in critical condition from injuries he suffered in the attack.

WAFB is supporting a donation drive to benefit all four officers. Click here for information about different ways to make contributions

That's "Our Turn." Now, it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, visit us on Facebook or send an email to yourturn@wafb.com.
