BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Capital Area Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Association had kicked off its 22nd annual Casas for CASA playhouse fundraiser on Sunday, July 24.
The event, which runs through August 14, kicked off with the CASA Fiesta on Sunday, where guests participated in a silent auction while enjoying Mexican cuisine donated by Caliente and a DJ.
The "Grand Victorian" Casa playhouse will be on display at the Mall of Louisiana, where visitors can purchase raffle tickets and enter to win the playhouse.
Those who can't make it to the mall can also purchase tickets online at CASAbr.org.
The event Finale will take place on August 14 with CASA Kids Day. The children's safety and wellness fair at mall of Louisiana will feature information booths and entertainment for children of all ages.
The "Grand Victorian" was designed by Lilliput Play Homes and constructed by Faulk and Meek General Contractors.
The fundraiser benefits CASA's advocacy efforts on behalf of abused children in East Baton Rouge Parish.
