CBS Sports has named its 50 impact players for the 2016 college football season and it includes three Tigers.
Running back Leonard Fournette led the way for LSU at No. 2, safety Jamal Adams is ranked No. 30 and defensive end Arden Key No. 48.
Alabama leads the overall list with six players led by offensive lineman Cam Robinson at No. 9.
Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson landed the No. 1 spot, just ahead of LSU's Leonard Fournette.
Arden Key No. 48
A fast, long edge rusher at 6-foot-6, 231 pounds, Key uses that length and a devastating first step to dominate.
Jamal Adams No. 30
Adams is a big, physical safety with the tenacity to disrupt opposing offenses up near the line of scrimmage in the run game, but he also possesses the speed and instincts required to shine as a ball-hawking defender in coverage.
Leonard Fournette No. 2
For all the praise heaped on Alabama's Derrick Henry, Fournette was the nation's leading rusher a year ago at 162.75 yards per game. They're calling him a Herschel Walker-like talent. That's about the highest praise you can get in SEC land. Wait, actually, Walker telling TMZ that Fournette is "better than I was" is actually the highest praise you can get.
