BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The governor's office will be laying off some staff members as it deals with a $1 million budget cut for the financial year that began July 1.
Richard Carbo, the spokesman for Gov. John Bel Edwards, said they did notify some workers Tuesday, but he would not say how many will get be getting pink slips.
No word on how many workers have already been notified or how many will be laid off overall.
