BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The YWCA Greater Baton Rouge held a flag football and luncheon for dads Wednesday.
Father figures and great role models showed pretty good expertise with flag football with kids from the Baton Rouge area. The YWCA wanted to get these guys together, especially in light of recent current events.
"We wanted a chance to show positivity for our fathers. A chance for our fathers to engage and connect with one another and to engage with their children who are participating in our Early Head Start program," said Dianna Payton with YWCA Greater BR.
They had a great turnout for the event.
The YWCA also treated the men and kids to lunch with door prices. The YW's Early Head Start is signing up children for the next school year, which starts in August.
