Girl Scouts Louisiana East is inviting all former Girl Scouts to grab their rucksacks, pick up the canteen, and return to camp.

Girl Scouts Louisiana East will be hosting two "FOREVER Girl Scouts" Adult Camping weekends. The first weekend will be from September 9-11 at Girl Scout Camp Whispering Pines in Independence, with the second weekend scheduled for September 16-18 at Girl Scout Camp Marydale in St. Francisville.

The event is open to all former Girl Scouts, troop leaders, volunteers, camp counselors, and staff members.

"Girl Scouting has a lasting impact on girls for years to come," explained Jill Pollard, chief development officer, program and properties. "We hope that it will be both meaningful and fun to return to where they learned teamwork and other skills, maybe for the first time."

Registration for each weekend is $50 per registrant or $30 for the day. Those looking to participate can register at www.gsle.org/alumnae. The deadline to register is August 10.
