BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Louisiana is famous for its culture and Louisianans never miss an opportunity to celebrate it. This July, Forum 35 will host their annual Art Melt, giving Baton Rouge a chance to celebrate a plethora of Louisiana art, music, and performance.

Now in its thirteenth year, Art Melt is the largest juried multi-media art exhibition in the state. The art exhibition will run at the Capitol Park Museum from the preview party on July 22 until September 3.

The Preview Party will be the first opportunity for the public to experience the exhibit. During the party, jurors will announce the winners of the 2016 Art Melt, and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase pieces from the exhibit.

The exhibition will officially open on Saturday, July 23 with a free outdoor festival featuring local musical performances, an arts marketplace, and local food vendors.

Following the opening weekend, the exhibition will be available to view during normal museum hours.

To purchase tickets to the Preview Party, or for more information, visit www.forum35.org.
