Gov. John Bel Edwards held a press conference Friday afternoon regarding a security briefing held with top law enforcement officials.
The governor joined the FBI, National Guard, state and local law enforcement leaders at the state Emergency Operations Center early Friday morning for the meeting to discuss security statewide. That included what assets are available, when to deploy them and the protocols in place for rallies and protests scheduled to occur over the weekend.
WAFB's Cheryl Mercedes was at that press briefing where officials said there are no known threats in Louisiana tied to the police officer ambush in Dallas, Texas.
