BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Capital Region Builders Association is again building a "Home for Good." The home builders group has already built and raffled off 15 homes in its annual charity fundraising project. To date, the builders have raised $18.5 million for charity by giving people a chance to win a brand new house.
This year, the group chose Woman's Hospital as its charity to benefit from the "Home for Good" raffle. Woman's Hospital is the 17th largest hospital in the nation in terms of births with more than 8,500 deliveries each year. The hospital really shines when it comes to taking care of the most critically ill infants in the state. If a problem arises after birth, the baby will be taken to Woman's Newborn and Infant Intensive Care Unit where special doctors can oversee the treatment.
