BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge woman and small business owner, Debbie McAdams, is part of a 40-person team building the biggest balloon display to ever be seen in the Chicago Pride Parade.
McAdams, owner of Bayou Balloons, will march in the parade on Sunday, June 26 with a group of 170 people. The theme of the group's entry is "Peace, Love and Happiness" and pays tribute to the victims of the recent mass shooting in Orlando.
More than 40,000 balloons will be used to create the display, which will cover three city blocks! "This event is fantastic way to spread joy through balloons," says McAdams.
It's expected that there will be nearly a million spectators at the parade and McAdams hopes this will help to expand her business.
