Baton Rouge native Damian Jones selected by Golden State at No. 30 in NBA draft

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge native Damian Jones was selected in the first round at No. 30 overall by the Golden State Warriors in the NBA draft.

Jones, 20, was a center at Vanderbilt for three years. Before that, he won two Louisiana state basketball titles with the Scotlandville Hornets.

During his three seasons with the Commodores, the 7'0", 245-pound Jones averaged 13.3 points and 6.4 rebounds.

According to the Warriors, Jones will wear No. 15.
