BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Sunday afternoon, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Liberty Road to assist EMS with what they described as a "combative" subject.
The man, Woodrow Booker, 34, was on a stretcher, screaming and sweating. According to EMS, he was also slapping himself and flailing his arms and legs. Restraints were placed on him to prevent him from hurting himself and/or paramedics.
When EMS asked what he had taken, he replied he'd been smoking "Mojo." Upon searching his pockets, marijuana, Xanax, one unknown half of a pill, and two smoking pipes were discovered.
Booker was transported to Lane Memorial Hospital for treatment and was arrested upon his release later that evening. He was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule 4 drugs, and sale/possession of legend drugs.
