Judge hears case of no air conditioning for Angola death row inmates

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A federal judge in Baton Rouge is hearing the latest in a case regarding death row inmates at Angola prison.

The judge is expected to decide if those awaiting execution need air conditioning.

Some prison officials say ice, fans and cold showers are enough to protect them from dangerous heat and humidity, while others disagree.

The judge could rule that officials must put air conditioners in the area.
