BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Officials said the LSU Student Health Center will open Wednesday with limited medical appointments after a fire caused it to be shut down.
University Relations reported mental health and wellness will be fully open and operational. Also, the building can only be entered through the southwest and northwest entrances.
The center has been closed since it caught fire on Thursday, June 9.
According to reports, the Baton Rouge Fire Department was able to quickly get the fire under control, but officials estimated that about $1.7 million worth of damage was caused. No injuries were reported. Officials still do not know what caused the fire.
Officials hoped to open the center Monday, but were unable to do so. The center was only partially open on Tuesday. It is not yet known when the health center will fully open.
