BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A unique memorial is now open at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge.

OLOL and the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA) unveiled an interactive digital display for organ donors.

The display is the first of its kind in the state and allows guests to share a personal connection with donors by viewing videos and stories of the donor's lives.

"We are not only honoring our donors from prayer years, but we also have a place to recognize the recipients in our community who have received the gift of live through organ donation," said Alice Battista, director of mission services at OLOL. "We have information on organ donation and resources for people if they're not already registered to be an organ donor that they can sign up and become a donor.

OLOL said 32 people donated organs in 2015, helping give a second chance to 97 people.
