BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Louisiana State Police have arrested a man as a result of an undercover narcotics investigation.

State Police arrested 24-year-old Corey T. Gardner Wednesday afternoon and charged him with possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS and possession of a firearm with a CDS.

According to State Police, an investigation revealed that Gardener was distributing methamphetamine from his vehicle in Baton Rouge. It was also observed by detectives that he was in possession of a loaded Glock .40 handgun and $1400 cash.

When detectives came in contact with Gardener, they searched his vehicle and discovered two small bag containing 29 grams of methamphetamine.

According to detectives, after a search of Gardener's vehicle, Gardner gave detectives permission to search his residence where they found 301 more grams of methamphetamine.

Detectives estimate that all of the seized items to have a street value of approximately $33,000.

Gardner was arrested and later booked.
