BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board is hosting a community forum on the renaming of Lee High School.

The forum will be held at the The Instructional Resource Center on South Foster Thursday at 6 p.m.

Members of the community can share their thoughts on possible names for the school before the issue is taken back up at the school board's meeting on Thursday, June 16.

The discussion got heated at the last board meeting on June 2. However, it was not only over the name change but also the costs associated with making that happen. Officials at that meeting said construction is done and any cosmetic changes could land in the ball park of roughly $250,000 to $300,000.

There are a couple ways for people to share their comments and suggestions, including a texting option, which will be available until midnight Thursday.

A link is also available for people to submit their comments online. It will be open until the close of business Monday, June 9.
