BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - There is good news for fans of Dearman's restaurant in Baton Rouge.
According to the Business Report, the restaurant's owner and the landlord of the Bocage Village Shopping Center have reached an agreement on a new lease.
A fire left the diner heavily damaged earlier this year and there was concern Dearman's might not be able to reopen in the same location it's been for nearly 60 years.
However, the restaurant reportedly signed a five-year lease allowing it to reopen as soon as renovations wrap up.
The restaurant's owner said it's too soon to tell when exactly the diner will reopen, but he's hoping it will be ready by September.
