ST. GABRIEL, LA (WAFB) - An 18-wheeler overturned Tuesday, as it was delivering a piece of equipment to a chemical plant, according to authorities.
The St. Gabriel Police Department reported the crash happened on LA 3115. The highway is not blocked.
Investigators said the tractor trailer was delivering a heat exchanger to a plant in the area. They added the driver cut the turn wrong and flipped into the ditch.
According to police, power lines above the crash site are inhibiting the big rig's removal.
There is also a disagreement over which party has to have the scene cleared.
SGPD reported the shipper of the equipment said it's the plant's responsibility, but the plant reportedly said it wasn't delivered, so it's the shipper's responsibility.
Police said they estimate a plan to remove the 18-wheeler and the equipment safely will be devised Wednesday.
Attempts to reach the plant for comment have been unsuccessful.
