BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Another candidate has added his name to the list of those hoping to replace term-limited Mayor-President Kip Holden.
Businessman Darryl Gissel said he's running as an independent to change the stigma of Baton Rouge politicians and to get things done for the city-parish.
Gissel added he's not a career politician, but a longtime Baton Rouge resident who cares about the city. He also said he is someone who wants to make it a better place by bringing people together, rather than focusing on what makes people different.
