BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A woman accused of killing another woman over the weekend turned herself in to authorities.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said Kiera Turner, 23, surrendered to officers Tuesday. She was wanted in connection with the shooting death of De Shannon Browder, 22.
The shooting happened Sunday at a home located in the 1800 block of North Marque Ann Drive.
Investigators believe the incident started as an argument and escalated to the shooting. The probable cause report noted the victim was the new girlfriend of Turner's ex-girlfriend.
Turner was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. Bond was set at $200,000.
