BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A person has been detained by Louisiana State Police after two alleged bomb threats were made in Downtown Baton Rouge.
A spokesperson with the Baton Rouge Police Department said that threats were called in for the House chamber of the State Capitol and the Hollywood Casino. The Capitol building was evacuated around 6:30 p.m. after the calls were made to police.
Officers were dispatched to the two locations, but no devices were found during sweeps at both buildings. Maj. Doug Cain with LSP called the incident a hoax.
No word on the name of the person detained, how they were involved in the incident and if there will be any charges.
