BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Mayor, Kip Holden, will host the Baton Rouge Family Fit Day Saturday, May 21.
The event is an effort to help families get fit.
Family Fit Day will take place around BREC's City-Brooks Park from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Events will include a Varsity Sports run, the Mayor's Bike Ride and the BRASF Family Relay.
Inside of the park, there will be hula hooping, land boarding, foot golf, flag football and blood pressure screenings.
There will also be local organizations on hand to offer fitness classes, healthy cooking demonstrations and bike safety classes.
The event is free to the public and registration for the events will take place on the day of the event.
