ASSUMPTION PARISH, LA (WAFB) - The Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested three people in connection with two separate burglaries.
Deputies say they arrested 21-year-old Tyler Chenvert and 32-year-old Casie Granger in connection with a burglary in Pierre Part on April 20.
According to the victim, several items were stolen from inside their vehicle including a bank card.
According to deputies, Chenvert and Granger were arrested after being caught using the stolen cards at multiple businesses in the area and an ATM machine.
Deputies later found more stolen items in their possession as well as drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine inside of their vehicle. It was later learned that Chenvert may have been involved in a separate burglary and theft in the Pierre Part area.
Chenvert has been charged with two counts of simple burglary, seven counts of bank fraud, one count possession of schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine), one count of theft under $750 and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond has been set at $51,683.
Granger has been charged with one count of simple burglary, seven counts of bank fraud, two counts of access device fraud, one count of possession of schedule II (Methamphetamine) and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond has been set at $35,500.
In a separate case, deputies arrested 30-year-old Devin Lang in connection with a burglary at a home in Pierre Part on May 5.
Lang was arrested and charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
No bond has been set for Lang.
