BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Authorities said impairment is suspected in a single-vehicle deadly crash near downtown Baton Rouge early Thursday morning.
The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the victim as Evan Junker, 21, of Greenwell Springs.
Investigators said it happened on I-110 North near the Convention Street exit around 2 a.m.
Cpl. L'Jean Mckneely Jr. said Junker was thrown out of his vehicle after he lost control and hit a guard rail.
He added alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash.
The crash resulted in closures on I-110 North that lasted about two hours. All lanes were reopened around 4:15 a.m.
