Man faces attempted murder charge after early April confrontation

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man faces an attempted murder charge after an early April confrontation.

Police arrested Kevin Johnson Jr., 27, following an incident on April 2 at a location not given by the EBRSO. According to his arrest report, Johnson Jr. approached the victim's vehicle, and fired shots at the victim as they were driving away after a brief argument.

The victim was struck in the knee. Johnson Jr. was arrested several times in the past, including a possession of Schedule II drugs in 2010.

Johnson Jr. faces attempted second degree murder, illegal use of weapons, aggravated criminal damage to property, aggravated assault with a firearm, and carrying of a firearm by a convicted felon charges.
