Partnership looks to help Baton Rouge traffic problems

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A new partnership announced Wednesday between East Baton Rouge Parish, DOTD and the Waze navigation app.

They're trying to reduce traffic congestion in and around Baton Rouge and improve infrastructure.

The mayor announced the city joined 65 others around the world in the Waze Connected Citizens Program.

The goal is to facilitate two-way data sharing of publicly available traffic information between government agencies and citizens in real time.
