BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department is trying to identify two suspects accused of robbing a gas station on the corner of Florida Boulevard and Lobdell Avenue.
According to police, the suspects walked into the Chevron Station in the 7500 block of Florida Boulevard on May 9 around 10:20 a.m. while the clerk was counting the money for a cash drop.
The clerk was distracted by the female suspect while the male suspect allegedly grabbed the money from the clerk's hand.
The two suspects then left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. Police believe the suspects left the area in a white Toyota Prius.
Police said no one was reported injured in the incident.
BRPD described the male suspect as white, around 6-foot, and weighing 180 pounds. He was said to be wearing a blue multi-colored button down shirt, blue jeans with dark tennis shoes and a blue baseball cap. Surveillance photos showed the male suspect also has a tattoo across his chest and one on the backside of his left hand.
Police described the female suspect as white, around 5-foot-3, and weighing 120 pounds. She was said to be wearing a black printed t-shirt, dark pants with tan moccasin style shoes. Surveillance photos showed the female suspect to have a red tattoo on her right forearm near the elbow.
