BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A bond has been set for a man accused of raping and robbing a woman in the Garden District.
Judge Mike Erwin has set the bond for 22-year-old Thairie Robinson at $300,000.
Robinson was arrested Saturday in connection with the rape and robbery of a 31-year-old woman Thursday night.
According to police, Robinson forced his way into the home, raped the victim and then stole her money and some of her personal items and fled the scene.
Robinson was later arrested Sunday at a local Salvation Army after he needed medical assistance.
Robinson is currently booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he has been charged with aggravated burglary, simple rape. He has also been charged with sexual battery from a separate case.
Robinson is also accused of sexual assaulting a female relative on April 30.
He will not be released because a hold has been placed on him due to a probation/parole violation.
