BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Scotlandville football player who was injured Wednesday afternoon says he is doing well.
Saturday, Marcus Thomas, who was taken to a local hospital with what was described as a serious neck injury, tweeted that he was doing fine.
Thomas tweeted out a series of videos titled "My Testimony" where he speaks about the incident and how doctors originally believed he would possibly be paralyzed.
In the videos he also discusses his faith and speaking to God while in a coma saying, "I had a talk with God. He told me this is your second chance to live life like it's supposed to be."
According to Thomas, he was injured while attempting to make a tackle during football practice. He says he immediately lost all feeling in his body and doctors believed he would be paralyzed. He has since regained full use of his arms and legs and does not need to wear a neck brace.
