BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden may be running for Congress.
Documents show Holden has filed the paperwork for his campaign committee. Nothing is official, but he did tell LaPolitics in April he would be a candidate in the 2nd Congressional District.
If Holden qualifies, he would be running against incumbent, U.S. Congressman Cedric Richmond. The district includes parts of the Greater Baton Rouge region and some rural parishes.
Holden is term-limited as mayor of Baton Rouge. His current term in office will end
