BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Firefighters with the Baton Rouge Fire Department went to the scene of a fire at high school Friday.
Officials say crews were called out to Friendship Capitol High off of Fuqua Street around 11 a.m. Friday. According to investigators, someone went into the shop area, which was formerly a woodworking and welding room, and set some old books and desks on fire.
BRFD said the room was not in use and the fire did not burn very well, only causing minimum damage to the room.
The fire was smoldering when firefighters arrived to the school. They were able to put it out very quickly.
Investigators said there are no suspects in the fire at this time.
