BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police are investigating a robbery after a Craigslist deal went wrong outside a bowling alley Thursday night.

The Baton Rouge Police Department was called out after a victim said they were allegedly robbed in a parking lot near All Star Lanes on Airline Highway around 8:30 p.m.

Investigators said the suspects ran into the bowling alley after the victim turned the tabled on his attackers, pulling out a gun and firing a shot.

"We hope that someone saw some thing that can help us with our investigation. We want them to come forward," said L'Jean McKneely with BRPD. "These are some dangerous individuals. They both had guns, They robbed this particular guy of his items. So we know that they're dangerous and want the public to take precaution and if they know something to come forward."

Police said no one was hurt in the ordeal, but remind people there are safe places to exchange items on Craigslist, including doing it at BRPD headquarters.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
