BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Gov. John Bel Edwards was on hand Wednesday as hundreds packed the Capitol Steps to call attention to deaf rights.
It was one of many rallies taking place at capitols all across the country.
Organizers said they continued to face oppression and obstacles on a daily basis.
The governor received praise for an address he gave just three weeks ago, in which he used a sign language interpreter.
Officials said this will be a continuing effort by the Edwards Administration.
