Latest projections have LSU baseball traveling to play in a regional

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The updated projections for the field of 64 are out and it looks like the Tigers will do a little traveling on their trek to Omaha.

D1 Baseball has LSU traveling to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the Southern Miss Regional as the No. 2 seed. Southern Miss, the regional's host team, would be the No. 1 seed with Wake Forest as the No. 3 seed and Southeastern as the No. 4 seed.

That same projection has the Hattiesburg Regional paired with the Starkville Regional, which would be led by Miss. State and Tulane.

SEC leaders (1) Florida, (3) Texas A&M, (4) South Carolina and (5) Miss, State are projected to be national seeds for D1 Baseball's scenario.

Baseball America predicts LSU will travel to Stillwater, OK to play in the Oklahoma State Regional. The Tigers would be the No. 2 seed with Oklahoma State as the No. 1 seed, BYU as the No. 3 seed and Kent State as the No. 4 seed.

In that prediction, the Stillwater Regional would be paired with the Louisville, KY Regional, which would be led by Louisville and Tulane.
