NEW ORLEANS (WAFB) - New Orleans Saints left tackle Terron Armstead has signed a five-year contract extension with the team, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson and Adam Schefter.
Armstead was the Saints' third round draft pick in 2013 and has started in 27 games. He is entering the final year of his rookie contract.
The left tackle is considered to be one of the top young offensive lineman in the NFL and is a key to the Saints front five.
The contract will keep Armstead with the Saints through the 20121 season.
