EAST FELICIANA PARISH, LA (WAFB) - The Confederate monument debate has new spread to a parish in South Louisiana.
The debate began Monday night in East Feliciana Parish over the monument outside the courthouse in Clinton.
The monument is a dedicated to Confederate soldiers who fought in the Civil War.
During Monday night's meeting, the parish police jury heard a presentation and discussed removing the monument.
No word on when a vote on the monument's future might be held.
