BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An annual celebration will be held Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning that focuses on the Medical Marijuana Movement.
Henry Turner Jr. and many other musicians will gather at Henry Turner Jr.'s Listening Room No. 1 for the Third Annual 420 Celebration.
In addition to the lineup of artists performing, guest speakers will discuss the Medical Marijuana Movement.
"I became an advocate for the Medical Marijuana Movement, as I have personally witnessed how beneficial it can be in helping people with a variety of illnesses," Turner said in a written release. "As a result I wrote several reggae influenced songs, 'Modern Medication' and 'This Herb,' to help promote the cause. Both tunes are now audience favorites."
There will also be a drum circle and attendees are encouraged to bring their hand drums.
The club is located on North Street in Baton Rouge. Doors will be open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
There is a fee to attend.
