Two juveniles arrested, another suspect at large after stealing car

DONALDSONVILLE, LA (WAFB) - Ascension Parish deputies arrested two juveniles and are looking for another suspect accused of stealing a car from Assumption Parish.

According to Lt. Col. Bobby Webre, the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office was informed Monday night that a 2014 Toyota Camry was heading into Donaldsonville. The vehicle that had been stolen from Assumption Parish was spotted by deputies entering the city limits.

Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled and crashed the vehicle into a ditch on Thibaut Drive. No one was injured in the crash, according to APSO.

Deputies said the two juveniles were caught as they and another person ran from the vehicle. They were booked into the Assumption Youth Detention Center.

Both 16-year-old juvenile males were both charged with possession of stolen things, criminal trespass, aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer, curfew violation, reckless operation, stop signs and signals, and driver must be licensed.

The other suspect who fled the scene has not been identified and remains at large, according to deputies.
