BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A whole crew of volunteers did some sprucing up at a Baton Rouge cemetery.
The dedicated group was armed with trash bags, chainsaws and trimmers to clean up the Lutheran Cemetery on Eddie Robinson Senior Drive.
They say there is a special reason behind the cleanup effort.
"It belongs to nobody. It doesn't belong to a church. So it's the kindness of strangers that keep this cemetery clean, and we've been doing this for about ten years," said one of the volunteers. "This is what went on today. You can see the trash behind us. We had over a hundred volunteers from LSU, from the Trinity Lutheran Church in Broadmoor."
The cleanup effort happens twice a year.
