Crime Stoppers: Police looking for man accused of attempted first-degree murder

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police are looking for a suspect in connection to a drive-by shooting in North Baton Rouge. 

Albert Youngblood, 31, is wanted by the Baton Rouge Police Department for attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, criminal damage to property, assault by drive-by shooting and felon in possession of a firearm.

Police say Youngblood allegedly fired multiple shots from a vehicle while driving in the 5200 block of Enterprise Street around 7 p.m. Monday. 

According to police, one victim was hit several times, Another person was near by but was barely able to escape being injured. 

Youngblood is also wanted by EBRSO for failure to appear in court on charges of drug possession, burglary, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and illegal carrying of a weapon. 

Officials have listed Youngblood in the Repeat Offender Prosecution and Enhancement (ROPES) program, which means he had to have six arrest for felony crimes or at least two felony convictions in his history to meet the program's requirements. .
