Deputies search for sex offender who failed to register

ASCENSION PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Authorities are asking for the public's help to find a sex offender they said failed to register.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office reported a warrant has been issued for Wade Pardue, 37, who deputies said failed to register as a sex offender in the parish.

Lt. Col. Bobby Webre said Pardue was put on probation until 2004 after being convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in 1999. He added Pardue was convicted twice on failure to register charges - once in January 2011 and again in May of 2011. Webre said Pardue was released from prison in February 2015.

Pardue is described as 5'9" tall and weighing 179 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He has lots of tattoos, including several on his face.

Anyone with information on Pardue's whereabouts is urged to contact APSO at 621-4636, sending a text to 847411 (anonymous tip line) or calling Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
