WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA (WAFB) - A former West Baton Rouge reserve deputy accused of hitting another deputy is behind bars.
Brandon Hebert was arrested and charged with battery of a police officer.
William Duclo, an off-duty West Baton Rouge deputy, was at the Crazy Horse Cabaret looking at working extra duty for the business. When leaving, he saw four people fighting.
Hebert and Jeremy Sinclair were involved in the argument and were being escorted outside. According to reports, Duclo decided to stay out of it until he heard Hebert and Sinclair say they were cops.
Detectives said when he tried to help them out of the Crazy Horse, they both allegedly turned on the deputy. Hebert allegedly grabbed Duclo by the neck and pushed him across the room into a cigarette machine, according to a police report.
Sinclair was a current WBRSO reserve deputy, but his commission was revoked after this incident.
Hebert was booked into the West Baton Rouge jail.
