BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Red carpet events are set to take over the Red Stick during the 4th annual Louisiana International Film Festival & Mentorship Program.
The four-day event will have a soft launch Wednesday with a visit from supermodel Christy Turnlington Burns. She's attending the event's first screening, which is a three-part short documentary series called "Giving Birth in America."
The film will begin at 7:30 p.m., but Turnlington is scheduled to attend a special pre-festival gala at Bin 77's Bistro & Sidebar. That event begins at 5:30 p.m.
The official opening for the festival is Thursday evening with "Miss Sharon Jones!"
The remainder of the film festival's schedule is no less impressive. The biggest name on the roster of celebrities, however, is five-time Emmy-winning television and film star Kelsey Grammar.
Grammar is scheduled to attend the screening of his latest film "Breaking the Bank." It too will begin at 7:30 p.m.
