Coroner says apartment drowning believed to be accidental

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The coroner has ruled the drowning at an apartment complex Monday morning was an accident pending the results of the toxicology report.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office reported Daniel St. Dizier, 19, drowned at The Reserve at Cedar Lodge Apartments on Corporate Boulevard in Baton Rouge.

According to officials, when deputies arrived at the scene they found an adult male deceased in the hot tub and the coroner was called out to the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
