Deputies search for man accused of beating, kidnapping victim after breakup

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Deputies with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office are asking the public's help in tracking a man accused of kidnapping and beating a man after they broke up. 

EBRSO said 23-year-old Corey D. Williams, of Baton Rouge, allegedly robbed, punched and kidnapped the victim over the weekend. 

According to reports, Williams allegedly broke into the victim’s home, stole from the victim and beat him on April 3. Deputies said he allegedly returned the following day, punching the victim in the face and kidnapping him. 

Williams allegedly dropped the victim back off at his home later in the day and vandalized the victim’s vehicle. 

Williams is wanted on charges of home invasion, simple robbery, second-degree battery, aggravated kidnapping and simple criminal damage to property.
